Children's stories have always held a special place in my heart. As a child, I spent many happy afternoons at the library reading fairy tales. I tried to write my own book about dogs when I was in kindergarten. I wrote funny poems for my grandmother during elementary school. When I was in college at Purdue University, I wrote my first children's story about baseball.
